Numbers..

This post is being re-Posted as I though it significant at this time. I posted it back in Jan ‘08 while spending time with my family in Atlanta, Georgia.

I spent my last day in Georgia with my Dad…Father and son time…I know alot of people do not have that luxury, so I treasure it dearly. My dad himself did not know his Father, so even more of a reason to invest in our relationship.

We were taking a ride on the bus through downtown ATL, when I began realizing how much of life is just numbers. Our time, numbers; social security card, numbers; passport, numbers; bank account, numbers ( hopefully big numbers ); Credit card, numbers…you get the essence of what I am communicating. It is just amazing, almost every part of our lives is ruled by some form of numbering. I have heard people make the comment:

“I am just a number in this world system …”

Clearly hard to argue with that. I am not complaining, I am just stating an observation.

Question for the Week….

What is more essential for life, finding ones destiny, purpose for living or understanding ones Identity….?? Or maybe it’s both??

Families, Communities,Church and Waking UP…

I strongly believe that this thing called ‘Christian Living’ was meant to be lived naturally in families and communities, rather than artificially in a moment of time on a Sunday…My My My!!!! What have we made Church into..an event!!!!…We are the Church and we live 24/7 the life (or should) the life of Christ in us. Is not that what we read in Acts, or was that just a myth??

When are we  gonna wake up and smell the incense, when it to late and Anti-Christian sentiment has taken over, or when the bible becomes a myth a fable rather than reality ( if it has not already). Father wake us up so we can articulate what is on your heart, cause I don’t think we do it justice…..

Who holds power in our world system…the New world order..??

I watched this video and it was rather interesting, had me asking a few questions. I like Obama,  but sometimes the palaces of political power, sometimes can distort our views and principles. Am I saying that Obama has lost his, who knows.  However watch this video and judge for yourself.

Life is worth a Smile, A Smile can save a Life…

I was just thinking today how much we do not appreciate small things in life. Something as small as a smile. I remember some time ago, I was having a horrible day at work, totally messed up day, and really felt like crap.

Decided to take a break and walk for a bit, just to cool my head (As I usually do, and can I walk far sometimes, when in these moments).As I started walking, I saw this lady walking to me in the opposite direction, this lady always seems jovial and happy, she flashed a smile.

For a few brief moments, I forgot all of my problems and worries and concerns. Just watching her smile made my day seem like nothing in comparison to the joy I saw in her.

Her smile would light up a room. It was in that moment I remembered life is not as bad as I make it out to be,  and once there is life there is hope. I went back into that office with a positive attitude.

Imagine how many people out there need to see a smile; it could be the difference between life and death for someone.

I try smiling more now .
