Authentic prayer…
I have been thinking alot lately of authentic prayer…I find that when I pray nowadays, especially for other people, I ask God to give me authentic prayers for them…Not that I generally pray artificial superficial prayers..but I want to be able to pray for people, with a heart for them, straight from the heart of God….not just words but with actual sense and insight into their lives and a clear strategy for what I am praying for…If prayer is a weapon, then I wanna be strategic with it. Not using my weapon and hoping to hit the mark, but hitting the mark and being effective as I do it! That is what I mean when I talk of Authentic prayer…praying with God’s heart for a person or group or nation. Praying God’s will over a situation, person or group. Some call it intercessory prayer others call it warfare prayer, I call it Authentic prayer!

I totally agree. Whether you call it “authentic prayer” or “intercessory prayer,” it’s important for our prayers to be strategic and effective. People normally think of prayer as unstructured. While it often is, your entry challenges us to think of how even prayer needs strategy and order to be effective. Thanks!
